Research Aims
Aim of the DIANZ Study
To consider/examine the impact of current law, policy and clinical practice governing donor-assisted conception on the health and wellbeing of children and families created through clinic-assisted donation programmes (egg, sperm and embryo donation).
Research Objectives:
- To determine the effect of the legal prohibition of donor anonymity on the health and wellbeing of families created through donor conception, including parental disclosure, ‘openness’ regarding donor conception, and donor-linking
- To provide feedback for fertility service providers and regulators regarding current practices
- To identify what, if any, support may be required for all parties affected by donor conception when families are created using donor gametes
